Early and on time

I just finished listening to the 6 hours of undang class few days ago. Many people find it pointless, to me it was not bad, probably because my lecturer was a hilarious guy. Now what I have to do is study the book and make sure I get 42 questions correct and above.

I was told to get ready by 8 in the morning and the driving teacher would come and pick me up. Now you see, the class starts at 10.30. My mom then ranted a little bit. Why do you have to be there so early? No, being early is not entirely necessary. Of course I disagreed like everyone would. (because I'm always late.)

So, I reached there, proudly, for the first time, around 9 o'clock. The driving teacher told us to wait and he was off the pick the other students up. I, finally understand the point of not arriving early, but on time. For an hour I've wasted standing and staring at people. There weren't any seats either. Imagine the things can be done with the time given. But it was okay, I didn't blame anyone. Besides that, it was a pleasant Sunday morning. A lesson to learn, worth it.

Bear in mind, this does not applied to assignments, projects, studies and homework.. etc.

Penang Trip

This post was supposed to be published a month ago on Christmas day. Procrastinate much?

Poor boy, going through his restless night.
Can't blame him, the seats were uncomfortable as hell.
What a way to start our adventures.

Took a ferry to get to the island. Penang bridge is clearly visible at far back.

Venturing the quiet sunday town,
most shops were closed until we found this morning market.

Not to say we were lost, but we found ourselves got no where to go.
Hotel check-in was not until 2pm.
Walking and carrying almost weigh 10kg of bags, totally exhausted.

Penang food was very delicious, we came back for second round.

Started our local tour - Thai temple.

Here comes the interesting part, while on the way to our visit, our car rear-ended a car in front. It was a Naza Ria crashing into Volkswagen Golf. Took about an hour or so to settle everything, the guide said another tour guide will replace him, he dropped us off at the botanical garden, and the second guide took us to snake temple. Then again, his Mercedes van overheated in the middle of the highway. Total mood spoiler. You should've seen the look of Kok Ming's face. After that, the third guide - Matthew, came with another Naza Ria. We told him about everything, hoping there will not be a forth one to replace him. It was funny.

This trip was really great. We had a lot of fun despite the arguments we had almost all the time and everywhere about everything. Thinking bout it now, ahh, this deserve to be in the memory.

Bullet Train

JR Tokaido - Shinagawa.

So, on the third day, I took a bullet train to Nagoya to meet up with my friends upon my parents permission. The week before, my mom strongly disagreed with the idea of us parting with one going to the west while family is staying in Tokyo. Reasons being because she was worried if I got kidnapped, or lost in the city. And I know I was very naive. The chances of meeting up with them was nearly zero percent.

That means, the meet up I have planned over a year ago failed. Til' the day before, I gathered all my guts and asked my mom again before she makes tour arrangement. 'Okay, go and call your friends' she said. Woohoo, didn't expect that coming. So I called up and the plan was totally on.

JR Tokaido - Nagoya.

The journey took exactly 96 minutes travelling over the distance of 360km. The train I took was Nozomi with least stopovers, fastest and costs as much as domestic flight ticket. One way fare was a hefty amount of 10,070yen equivalent to RM411. The experience was great and also my first time travelling alone. The coach was warm, given the comfortable seats with huge foot space, to the point I thought I was going by airplane. The view outside was beautiful, too bad I couldn't get the window seat because it was a non-reserved ticket.

Finally, get to see them again! For those who are wondering, we met during their school came to Malaysia and visited my school two years ago. The students visit my school every year. I tagged along with my friends who joined the group to give them a tour around the school. Since then, we have been keeping in touch.

It was a great day, I enjoyed every moment of it. I was over the moon when I met them for the first time again after patiently waited for two years. The sun sets very early, so I had to take a bus back to Nagoya station after taking our dinner, then head back to Tokyo by bullet train.

Something happened here, I reached Nagoya station, found my tracks entrance, but couldn't find my train line. Shit, then I realized I only searched for information on how to get to Nagoya, completely forgetting how to find my way back. Now, I'm lost in the largest freaking train station in the world.

My best bet was to ask a foreigner, I know foreigners in Japan are familiar with the places there, speak English and understand Japanese. So, I asked this European guy who was waiting for his train. Then, he started speaking Japanese to me. Holy shit, I didn't ask a foreigner for no reason. After that, he told me to go down and pass through the second entrance for Shinkansen. And with a little help from a cute staff, I'm back on track!

Japan Trip

Finally, I've set both feet on the land of the rising sun in my life. One more to cross off from the lists. The six days I've spent in Japan was unforgettable and it was an experience that I never have in the past. The story goes on.

Thank god, we did some researches before booking a hotel in Tokyo. Reached Shinagawa by train and bought some food in the station convenient store. It was dark and we have no idea where the hotel was, the cashier in the convenient store showed us map, then finding ourselves standing at the opposite of the Prince Hotel.

I'd suggest this hotel to those who wants to go to Tokyo. It takes maximum 3 minutes walk from our hotel to the main train station to all access of tens of different train and subway lines. The rates was not high (depends on season), despite a simple hotel in Tokyo for a night stay costs at least RM500. The staffs was very helpful, speak sufficient English, providing a lot of information of tours and attractions. Okay, the hotel owner must pay me commission.

I think this is the park where people come for picnic during spring blossoms and watch fireworks during the summer. It was a very pleasant day when sun warms up the cold winter earth.

Shopaholics' paradise.

Japanese people are rich. Almost everyone I see on the street in Tokyo own at least one branded goods. Even students have their men long LV wallet sticking out of their back pockets. Also not worrying about getting robbed or dropping your stuffs. People will eventually run up and return it back to the owner.

Speaking of manners, everyone from all over the world should learn from the Japanese. I remember accidentally tapping this Japanese woman's shoulder with a map I was holding in hand, thought it was my mum. I apologized and walked off feeling embarrassed. Then, something I have never expected. She approached me quickly saying something in Japanese indicating I was forgiven.

Taking trains in Tokyo isn't as complicating as you imagine. All you need was a little knowledge of Chinese (if you're from Malaysia or Singapore), knows how to read hiragana, you'll definitely get there. The tracks name are also in bilingual. No problem at all once you get the hang of it.

Hey y'all. I couldn't sleep so I decided to blog since humping the bed in the dark won't put me to sleep.

I swam today. It was last minute. My friend texted me this morning to ask whether he could come and swim. I had no plans and was bored. Came with two surprise guests, didn't know they were coming. Finally, get to swim again. I drank a lot of chlorine water and urine and probably someone's semen though.

Holidays have been not productive so far, but we, the 6 of us planned for a trip to Penang. Booked everything, spent huge sum of money on it despite our tight budget, quite looking ahead. It's our first trip together after all. The trip to Genting Highlands after pmr failed miserably. Haha.

Hi there! Yes, finally SPM is coming to an end, which also mean that secondary school will be over. I'd definitely miss it as much as I want to get out of this.. hell. One thing I'm very worried about SPM, that is I did better in my trials exam. So, keep your finger crossed.

We went to our very last class today, was very eager to learn how to score well in chemistry. To my expectation, it didn't happen. But on a brighter note, I beat Ken Jin in Tap Tap Revenge, yay! As usual, lunch after school with the bros at Leisure Mall. The food was good, some good conversations, had a great time.

What I like about now is having friends who can drive, not that we're taking advantage and whatnot (totally appreciate you guys), for the obvious reason, public transports. I remember we used to stop two cabs and always direct them to make the illegal turning to get to main side of Taman Midah, and getting back all the bullshit from the rude cab drivers. Also, friends who send me home after school (with some deals). Better than taking cabs, you never know what to expect.

A Crazy Night

Instead of the usual weekends night hangout, dinner, pool and shisha. This week was a little different. After 5 hours of playing pool.. and thrashing each other. We thought that we won't find any shisha stall that still open at 3 in the morning. Suddenly, something crossed my mind - ABC, Old Klang road. They agreed.

We're off to Petaling Jaya. With a little knowledge of the directions, and poor vision, it took us almost an hour to reach there, or maybe more than an hour wandering KL highways, we were clueless that we paid few times to the toll and found ourselves going back to square one. It was so frustrating to the point that we almost made an U-Turn to call it a night. One more thing that we were worried that once we reach there and to find the only stall was supposed to open was closed.

Finally, a strawberry melon with pineapple head being served to our table. Both of them said it was the smoothest one that they have ever tasted. I didn't get the chance to have a sip because I knew that night I have to resist myself from taking it due to the one I had messed me up few weeks ago. Inhaling the aroma it produces was already good enough for me. We headed back home about 6am, tuition was at 10 something. What a night.

Now we know where to go for good shisha.

One of my friend lent me a book 'How To Win Friends & Influence People'. It's not because I don't have friends.. pshhh I am famous, mind you. And they have to buy my friendships. Ok that was not the point.

From what I have read, I learned that people are repeating plenty of mistakes. I don't claim myself an expert but this was what I read from the book. For example, why don't we figure out a person's good point instead of pointing out the bad habits? Did you see the irony of the previous sentence? Hahaha.. This is another one, learn them before criticizing them.

But this is a good book. You guys should go buy one and read. Lemme upload a picture of it.

Cool. how do you define cool? how does one judges one particular person's looking cool, and how do you?

One of my friend told me that one of his friend called me and made fun of me by calling me nerd stuff. To be honest, and I'm very proud to tell you this, I laughed. hard. I have encountered a lot more before this and he is not the first one who judges me, obviously. Let alone those are my close friends who were the one insulted me, or maybe they wished that I could look better. So he asked me, 'You don't feel anything at all?'. Well, I don't give a shit. Who are you to judge? Do you think that you are better than anyone else in the world? pshh. let me tell you. You're full of yourself. For instance, a jealous lady who sees another lady being popular with the guys and she called her a slut. I thought that might hurt that lady's feelings or her dignity. But she made herself cool by simply saying 'love you too'. (irrelevant but it's an example) Also, there were times people complimented me saying that I look good and calling me cutie. Life's not that bad afterall, I guess. It really depends on how does ones look at you. Some find it good or some may not. But if he's a close friend of yours who are the one calling you names, that is when you should be disappointed because he is supposed to be the one supporting and not betraying you. Give him a piece of your mind. He shall be punished.

So, there's no need to get so emotional when someone who you don't even know try to bring you down. Unless she's hot.

Something interesting happened today. As Ken Jin, Shee Ean and I were having desserts at Midah after school. Today was teacher's day. We did a performance with the teachers. So Ken Jin was holding his guitar without a proper guitar bag, playing it almost everywhere. We sat down at a hawker stall and he was playing a classic song, which was Take Me Home by John Denver, the person I believe he is an Indian, sitting next to our table, sang to the song KJ was playing. We were surprised that he could recognise the guitar melody. We had a little chat.. the next minute we were told that he treated us a meal. You should've seen the look of my face. First time in my life I've earned something by doing what I enjoy.

But both of them told me that I let my guard down. And that make sense. But that random guy didn't ask for anything in return. Gotta be careful next time.

Hi. I'm at a restaurant now. Nothing to do now. Mom's working on her accounts.

Do you like to meet new friends? As well as talking to strangers. I like meeting new people, but I don't like talking to them. It's not because that I dislike them, it's just that somehow I think that they're one class higher than me? or you tell me.. what should I say after 'Nice to meet you, I'm Boon How.' ? which probably end up in an awkward position. Neither I don't have the social skills nor I'm shy. One of my friend wanted to talk to this foreigner and she totally ignored him. That'd totally ruin someone's day. And I've encountered this situation too. But of course on the bright side, meeting new people is good too. Everywhere you go, you know someone. Some might become your best friend too.

Hi. sorry for the absence. I have a very fucked up day today. After lunch in Midah, I went to KLCC to look for my mom and walked to my dental clinic in Sg Wang. I was late most of the time, but today was an exception, I came 10 minutes earlier. So.. took my own sweet time because guitar class wasn't in 30 minutes. no rushy. As the clock ticks, it was past 5.30 which was the time for my guitar class. So, I told the dentist and ran off to Jln Imbi, took me 10 minutes on running to find out that my teacher was already leaving. Not only did I not have my teeth check, and also my replacement lesson for last week. Ended up going back to get my teeth fixed, luckily they reluctantly waited for me.

Honestly, this year was kind of crappy to me, and boring. Throughout the whole year, I turned myself into an emo boy. Things didn't go well as I wanted them to be. Now I'm over all this bullshit, hoping this year will be a better one.

Chicken?

Does anyone knows about Jackie Chan's cafe? I went there and had nachos for lunch today. The concept of that cafe is very unique. The whole place is round and they have giant couches for you to lay while you can enjoy your snacks. That place kinda quiet and it only attracts tourists. My mom said whoever wants to save on hotels, they can come and have a drink and sleep all day. My mom is a fucking genius.

Headed to Kwok Han's afterward, we have exactly 34 chicken waited for the 5 of us to settle. The chicken were for our Interact Club's bbq on next Tuesday. But chicken won't last long, bacteria grows after few days. Then I was the last to reach, so they had to watch me ate all the chicken. Gotta give thumbs up for Foong's marinating skills *puke* (if you're reading this) hahaha.. you know.. But chicken's tasteless without his so called secret sauce.

Anyway, why did the chicken cross the road?

I'm quite embarrass to tell you that, today, I almost entered the girls' bathroom for the second time in Pavilion. And I'm not proud of it.

How can this possibly happen twice? Maybe I was drunk.. hahaha.

Bukit Apek

Got back from jungle trekking/hiking in Bukit Apek (nice name). The forest basically have 7 stops where you can rest and there are something you might need for your journey in each of every stop. It's a long story so I don't want to go in so detail. The purpose of the 6 us going there was to see the waterfall. Not supposed to use hand phone but we were lost in the jungle. Someone or maybe the wind changed the direction to the wrong side. We then figured out that we should have took the right turn instead at the 3rd. From 7th stop we went all the way back and finally reached the waterfalls. It was definitely a very good experience and an achievement (went there without guide). Ok la I was exaggerating, it was easy. There are ropes and directions to help you. Didn't take much pictures because we saw smokes coming out from our friend, which was odd.

At last, I get to go Uniqlo after class today. While I was passing by Lot 10's entrance, I saw few of the stormtroppers walking around and giving out papers. One of them was dancing to the Wonder Girls' song Nobody, I was amused.. lol, they just made my day.

Neways, Uniqlo is not that packed now and hence most of the nice jeans for male have sold out, only left lots of red colour jeans. Long sleeves are now at original price. Damn, should have went there earlier. Lots of selection of fleece, even my mom couldn't decide which one to go with. Bought a fleece and 2 pairs of jeans at the end.

Skateboarding. Recently, one of my friend introduced me one group of skateboarders in my school. I'm kind of person who likes these extreme sports and stuff. Mostly I think it's kind of cool and got interested by watchin those white kids did tricks in the vids. Parents bought me a kids deck when I was in primary.. hmm, quite amusing to see me skate around with that thing. Decided to get a proper one, Element, hang tight, you'll be mine soon! Despite the fact parents don't encourage (bone-breaking, head injuries), I think it can still be a fun thing to do. And a form of transportation too. Besides that, girls might dig it. Hehehe...

Been quite busy with the school prep. IU Day is less than 30 days from now, which is giving me hell lots of pressure. I am one of the managers and also a performer. I was scared cuz we haven't do anything yet. Also, I don't have confidence and fear of being on stage.

I'm writing this because the other day we went to Kaki Corner, somewhere around Taman Billion to celebrate Kee Shin's birthday. Someone prompted Foong, Wei Kit and I to sing a song on the stage for the birthday girl. Which was terrible, but I don't have that feeling not even slightly. I felt totally awesome. Which means, my confidence's back! Performing with no practice, in a restaurant full of strangers. How cool is that.

Have you ever been in a situation when you were not supposed to laugh, but you laughed. Like this, today was installation day, we stood up to sing national anthem and interact song. I was ready to be serious to sing the national anthem. Usually, I don't really sing to the song every morning. Because the room was small, the amount of people were little, it was awkward, there were adults, without the music, face to face with the adults/Rotarian. I was ready to sing the song, halfway through the song... sudden burst out laughing, blame Mun Loong for the giggles. yeah three monkeys at the back laughing their asses off. You know you hate it to be in a situation when you were to force yourself not to laugh because this was supposed to be serious, it was really painful. We were laughing throughout the whole song. Luckily they didn't catch us for being the pain in the ass but complimented us being serious.

Wait wait wait, before reading this, I want to tell you all that I don't boast or anything gotta do with showing off with this post I'm writing now. I just want to share my experience.

A friend of mine, Kok ming, just started playing the guitar I gave him few months ago. He has hard time playing it, as he does not know where to start from, and few friends tried to teach him, but wasn't effective. One day, we have some lunch gathering going on in Brandon's house, so he told me to teach him something, to guide him. Before this, I didn't know how to teach guitar to a beginner, usually I could only say was, 'play only la, learn from the book, that was what I did when I first picked my guitar.' Out of sudden, plenty of ideas pops out in my mind as we sat down one-on-one. I taught him some strumming patterns, didn't expect much. It was bored and I was completely out of patience, but as soon as he gets the tone, I see the smile on his face, seeing him got excited, which makes me happy too. I'm stuck here, erm... Then again, I'm looking forward to teach him during this holiday. I think this motivates me to teach guitar. I think I can be a good guitar teacher (accept noobs only) My point is, no matter if you don't see a point doing something, try anyway, maybe it'll turn out something you don't expect.

Have you ever feel unsatisfied with something like, you think that you did great, when you think of it again, you wish that you should have done a little more than that. This happens to me all the time. No matter minor or major things, I just feel that way.

Let me find an example, hmm... Lets say you were hanging out with the girl you have a crush on, but this will be the last time of seeing her, you spend time with her, chat with her, crack some jokes and made her laugh. You did great, but when it's the time for her to leave, you've planned to give her a hug, and you didn't. She left, while you're on your way home, you think, aiya, I should have given her a hug, what was I thinking. Yeah, pretty fucked up eh? Or am I just horny?

This is what I always think, I don't know why am I writing this crap.

Just got my school's certs back. Nowadays you don't see students like me get certs, I mean, not one but three. Gotta be proud Boon.

How's your day going? Going great? Awesome. What did you guys do during your holidays? I bet yours interesting than mine. Well, I spent most of my time staying over in Eddie's house. It's kinda fun to me, at least I didn't stuck at home facing the computer for 24/7. We went cycle around his house's area, play basketball, workout a little bit, hang out and much more. But I'm back again - my home. Kinda missed home though. Hmm, what else. It has been so hot lately, should have stayed longer in Eddie's...ha !

What I can do with the money I paid for my braces.

So here is the story.

Earlier this year, I went to apply braces on my messy teeth since I need it very badly for god knows how many years ago. After all the procedures done, the doctor said to my mum, okay, his teeth are really fucked up, he needs a better care for his teeth. The braces costs rm5800. Yeah, 5.8k good money :)

Here it is, I've been thinking lately, what I can do with the money if I didn't get my braces done. Hmm, rm5800, it's freaking a lot of money. Maybe I would contribute to the band, get mics, recording stuffs, guitar's gears, then try to earn money from there.

Or maybe I would be in Japan now, lol. Get to hang around with some friends there I've met months ago, and maybe spend time with the girl I have a crush on, see the snow falls together. Then take a visit to their school, the city and more. This is what I wish I could do now.

Probably I could get plenty of nice stuffs and organize some local trips with friends. As I said, rm5800 are plenty of cash. Anyhow, I don't regret getting braces cause I know why do I need it. I was just wondering what I can do with the money because I'm freaking broke NOW !

Two weeks already, time passes so fast, it was a blink of an eye.I went school on Tuesday for the first time since after PMR, sat in the hall, did something completely waste of time and hell of a boring stuffs.When we got out to play a game so called explore race, I went to every single part we took them to visit that day to reminisce the good times, the memorable things we did and every single moment we had together.

I had some rest at home the day after I got my two tooth removed.My extraction process wasn't painful anyway, now it is just uncomfortable with the holes between the teeth.Oh, and a little surgery in the back of my mouth, the dentist cut my gum, that was really hurt ! Ouchiee.

So yeah it was Friday, I made a promise with my friends to go leisure mall.I only had enough money to spend on my guitar strings and almost enough for my bus fares.I had to walk from my house all the way to Maluri to take a bus to school.It was really hot and I was wearing school's shirt with the pants and shoes(this is so weird).You wanna know why? I won't get caught if I enter the school, smart huh ?

Then we had our lunch and got our stuff in the guitar store.We don't want to call it a day yet so we decided to hang around in Ken Jin's place.Hey I think we're probably getting on your parent's nerves by making so much musical noise lol.We gotta leave before they kick us out, so we had some basketball matches with the strangers, I think they're 16, are they? It was tiring.Yeah that was my little fun and adventure day.

Today's weather was nice.

We slept during science class, we always sleep during science and history class. I'll tell you if you are wondering why, it's because science class is always in 2 periods time. What's worse, apparently the teacher is very good in hypnotizing, whoever has insomnia or who can't sleep, you know who to look for now. I'll be damn sure after that you will have a very nice sleep after that. Foong always sleep during his class. Snore so loud somemore.

Hello humans, I've started a new blog again today and it is on my birthday. Thanks to all those friends who wished me, I felt really happy. Today, a normal day for me, nothing special. I stayed home the whole day and... I feel like staying home also.

(it's my last year birthday cake, lol)

I've learned something yesterday, I've come to realize that knowledge plays an important role in our life. So the story went like this, I took a taxi to Taman Midah for basketball games with my fellow mates. The total fares was 7 bucks, the driver didn't have any 1 ringgit change when I gave him 10, he has 5 bucks, I paid him extra 3 bucks to settle it. End of the day, while I was heading back home, I counted, I actually paid him extra. I was like ahh nevermind, I've learned a lesson today.

So yeah, thats pretty much about it.
